You’ll start your road trip around the Golden Circle by visiting this beautiful hidden waterfall. The waterfall itself is 18 m (62 ft) tall and was once used as a filming location for the well known tv-series Game of Thrones. Þórufoss is a part of a river called Laxá í Kjós which is known for its quantity of Atlantic salmon and is therefore great for fishing. If you wish to go all the way to the waterfall you’ll need to walk down a very steep hill so watch out.
